Businesses profit off bridge closing
Business owners on Palm Beach worry their
sales will decline now that the Flagler Memorial Bridge is closed for six
months. The ordeal has prompted more people to ride their bikes. Manager Philip Elliott at
Palm Beach Bicycle Trail Shop says he’s already sold three bikes over the weekend. Elliott says this
may help the store because the bridge has never been closed down for six months
and people are definitely looking for another way to get back and forth.
